Job Description:
Purpose: Cleveland School of the Arts (CSA) is a public,
auditioned arts school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School
District (CMSD) serving students in grades 9-12. CSA music students
enrolled in band, orchestra, and choir benefit from additional
one-on-one and small group instruction.Duties and Responsibilities:
Concurrent position as an applied teacher requiredCoordinate
communications and schedules between CSA faculty and CIM applied
music teachers.Attend ongoing professional development
opportunities at CSA or CIM Update and monitor student lesson
tracking document(s)Participate in assessment and evaluation
activities, which may include written surveys, focus groups, and
observations Rate of Pay: $20.00/hr Length of Employment: 8/26/24
to 5/8/25, or the date a student has earned their full WS award, or
is no longer enrolled full time, whichever comes first.
Qualifications: Must have Federal Work Study awardConcurrent
position as an applied teacher requiredProficient in Microsoft Word
and ExcelExhibits professional communication skillsPrior teaching
experience helpful Approval from primary teacher Ability to travel
to CSA (about 1 mile from CIM) Punctual and reliable Completion of
October 2024 training What primary skill(s) will you gain from this
experience? Administrative and leadership experience
Evaluation procedures and schedules: October: training prior to
final hire; January: written self-evaluation; April/May: written
self-evaluation; Periodic evaluations throughout the year, subject
to scheduling restrictions.
